Introduction to the Essential Indicators Project
This work reflects the efforts of the Butler County ESC and the public schools across Butler County. Appreciation is given to those who have given their time and brain power to begin this ongoing project. Each fall we will add released items to the bank. This bank does NOT contain any items from OGT Practice Test.
ALL previously released achievement and OGT test questions have been linked to the indicator level. These links are reflected in a variety of ways: SUMMARY format which shows only the indicators that have been assessed to date and the number of times they have been assessed as a multiple choice, short answer or extended response item; and DETAIL format which shows all indicators, written out and linked to benchmarks. This format also includes the number of times each indicator has been assessed as a multiple choice, short answer or extended response item. The DETAIL format reflects common question stems used to create the assessment questions.
Please remember that: o This information reflects Essential Indicators based upon only one assessment in some areas. As more tests are administered this information will change and will become more reliable. Instructional decisions should be made with this comment in mind. o All indicators should be addressed during the school year through the instructional process. A complete focus on only the indicators assessed to date would be inappropriate.
