SOJOURNER RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT PROGRAM

Program Description

Sojourner Residential Treatment Program is a long-term treatment program that takes a holistic approach to working with the family and adolescent to address problems with chemical dependency and behavior issues. Sojourner takes primary responsibility in teaching adolescents tools they will need to re-enter the community and remain successful in their recovery. Adolescents also participate in daily school, family therapy, group work, individual treatment, case management services, and continued care. Adolescents are provided with any and every opportunity to start and continue the recovery process while at the facility. Sojourner strives to achieve family restoration and reunification in a child-friendly environment.

Residential Treatment

(3-4 months; Ages 12-18)

A wide range of services are provided in a structured, least restrictive environment by competent, ethical, and experienced staff. Through the process of informed consent, clients and families become active participants in the adolescent’s treatment. By providing a full continuum of individualized care and case management, clients have access to the support and resources needed to live a sober/drug free lifestyle. Client length of stay is based on individualized progress towards clear treatment expectations. Treatment is provided in a culturally diverse and gender-specific environment.

Resources are provided through a unified and committed team approach emphasizing cohesiveness and positive communication. Treatment is provided in a manner consistent with an atmosphere of ethical behavior, cultural sensitivity, and customer service. Through continued education and training in research-based methods and ethics, the culturally diverse staff is empowered to provide treatment in a goal-oriented, non-judgmental, interactive, and confidential manner. Clients are assured of ongoing confidentiality before, during, and after treatment by a professional and ethical staff.
