Hamilton City Schools

Partners in Early Childhood Education

For over eleven years, Hamilton City School District and BCESC Early Childhood Programs have collaborated to provide premier early childhood education services.  As early learning partners, they have assessed the needs of local communities, and established classrooms for a growing preschool population.  Hamilton City School District and BCESC Early Childhood Programs have a strong, innovative collaboration in early childhood education.  Through the efforts of these partners, the former Grant Elementary is now the BCESC Grant Early Learning Center (BCESC ELC), serving (175) preschoolers.

Hamilton City serves children through their preschool program at Bridgeport, Fairwood, Linden, and Ridgeway.  BCESC Early Childhood Programs provides early learning services in Head Start classrooms at Grace United Methodist Church, BCESC Grant Early Learning Center, and Presbyterian Preschool.   Over (255) children are receiving preschool services through these combined resources.

Hamilton City Schools and BCESC Early Childhood Programs will continue to collaborate to meet the needs and interests of the districts youngest student population.
