Letter from the Executive Director

February 10, 2009

“Whether or not children succeed in school is in part related to events and experiences that occur prior to their entering kindergarten.”

(National Center for Education Statistics, 2000)

Unlike traditional preschool programs, BCESC Preschool Programs are designed to foster children's intellectual, physical, social and emotional growth, so they may reach their greatest potential, ensuring that they are ready to enter kindergarten.

Our program believes that parents are their children's primary teachers. Throughout the school year, parents are encouraged to become involved in their children's education.   Parent involvement is the cornerstone of the program's success.

We are privileged to live in a county that is rich in culture, with a long history of  collaborative agencies, organizations, and individuals who have the same vision – to strengthen and support the youngest members of our society.

Sincerely,

Jon Graft, Executive Director

BCESC Preschool Programs
