Butler County ESC mourns the loss of longtime friend and education advocate Mary Pritchard.

Mary was passionate about improving the quality of life for children and families and touched the lives of thousands throughout her lifetime. She was a strong supporter of Butler County ESC’s many programs, especially Head Start and preschool, which were especially close to her heart. Mary also assisted in planning our first Early Head Start program.
In 2011, she was instrumental in securing Butler County ESC’s current central office space that helped foster the rapid growth of the organization over the last decade. In addition to her role as a board member, she remained a contributing member of several working committees, organized home schooling groups, was a preparer for VITA, and fostered burn victims through Children of the Americas from Shriners Burns Hospital for many years.

Mary is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Pritchard; her mother, Shirley Howley; three children, Bryant Vincent Pritchard, Graham Patrick Pritchard, and Victoria Rose Pritchard; four siblings, Edward M (Dawn) Howley, Patrick (Karen) Howley, Rosemarie (Robert) Meek, and Dominic Howley; and many other loving relatives and friends. Mary’s son Graham is a current Butler County ESC governing board member and past president.

Please join us in honoring Mary for her lifelong commitment to our community and keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
