When you last attended a Cincinnati Reds game, did you participated in the Redlegs Run, Redsfest Poker or Bingo, the Marty Golf Classic, Family Catch, orbought Split the Pot tickets at Reds Home Games? If so, you are helping to fund the Reds Community Fund! The Reds Community Fund provides multiple outreach programs to the Cincinnati area that benefit local youth. These Outreach Programs include Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities, Reds Urban Youth Academy, Reds Rookie Success League, and more!

The Butler County Success Program partners with the Reds Rookie Success League in Butler County to provide Success students with an exciting summer opportunity. Reds Rookie Success League (RRSL) is a co-ed summer baseball program offered at no cost to families who could not otherwise afford baseball camps. Offering a character-based curriculum with baseball instruction, kids can learn baseball and so much more.

In Butler County, RRSL runs two days per week for four weeks.  Players and coaches from the Reds, Dayton Dragons, and Louisville Bats visit the various programs throughout the summer. Additionally, RRSL teaches the Reds’ “Six Stars of Success”: Cooperation, Integrity, Respect, Education, Determination and Spirit (CI REDS). The program also takes a field trip to a Reds Game at Great American Ball Park.

Success Program Liaisons refer Success students to participate in Reds Rookie Success League.  RRSL in Butler County is for children ages 7-13 years, held at Waterworks Park in Fairfield.  Transportation is provided from local schools, YMCAs, Boys & Girls Clubs, Community Centers, or libraries to Waterworks Park.  This transportation is another way to help these kids participate in a summer program often not available to them due to limited access to transportation.
